After School Programme (GASP)
This is a private business available to Glenholme students.
GASP runs each afternoon from 3.00-5.30pm in the school hall, on school days only and in the holidays.
The programme is aimed at rest and recreation for children under adult supervision with a ratio of 1:10 or better. Afternoon tea, and some recreational and sporting equipment is provided. Homework supervision can be arranged if requested.
A school holiday programme is also run during all school holidays.

Cool Schools Programme
Glenholme School is committed to developing skills in all children that allow them to manage and resolve conflict in positive ways.
The Cool Schools Peer Mediation programme involves year 5 and 6 students, who are trained to act as Cool School Mediators in the playground.
The students work in pairs and use listening and questioning skills to help other students find their own solutions to minor conflicts in the playground, during the lunch hour. The mediators do not act as duty teachers
HPP / PPP
Pause Prompt Praise (PPP) and Hei Awhiahi ki te Panui Pukapuka(HPP). These highly successful reading intervention programmes are running in our school with the support of our community volunteers. Literacy Intervention Programme
There are three separate interventions running which target 5 year old, 6 year old and year 4 children. Three highly skilled teacher aides have been trained to deliver a range of proven, successful programmes. Children who need additional support or a short term boost in oral language, written language or reading are identified from school testing. The children then receive support four days a week in 8 to 10 week blocks. For more information on special needs contact the school on office@glenholme.school.nz
Preschool Programme
This is a once a week class that can be in addition to the Kindy, Kohanga Reo, Day Care or Pre-school that your child may already attend. As your child will be turning 5 years old this year you and your child are welcome to attend these once a week classes. Your child is welcome to bring a friend, and their Mum or Dad, as well. The class operates from 1:20pm until 2:45 pm every Wednesday afternoon.
